After days of endless toil and practice, the students of the school hosted the 13th Annual Day programme on November 23rd and 24th, 2017. The school wore a festive look as the Director, Rev. Bro. Dr. Laurence Abraham welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. George Kurian, Vice Chairman, National Commission for Minorities & the Guest of Honour Rev. Brother Julius George, Chairman, St. Francis School, on November 23rd. The Chief Guest for November 24th was Shri. K. J. Alphons, Hon’ble Minister of State for Tourism, Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India & the Guests of Honour were Justice Vinod Kumar Mishra, Hon’ble Judge of the Allahabad High Court & Mrs. Manisha Singh, DSP, CO-1, GZB. Principals and teachers from other schools, the parents of the students and the well-wishers of the school were among the other guests who graced the occasion with their presence. The programme was a musical extravaganza comprising of a prayer song by the school choir, a welcome dance – ‘Nritya Vandana’, several dance numbers which were a fusion of the traditional and the western styles and much more. However, the cine-drama based on the life of St. Francis of Assissi, named ‘Francesco – The Peace Bearer’ was the main attraction of the entire event. It was a very well- presented dance drama directed & choreographed by Fr. Stanley & his team and performed by the students. It conveyed the message of peace and conservation of the environment, while showcasing the story of the Saint’s life. A dance programme ‘Bhavashrayam Nrityam’ depicting the five emotions of love (vatsalya), laughter (hasya), anger (raudra), fear (bhayanaka) and compassion (karuna) was a feast for the eyes.
